Tallinn, Estonia...15th June


As mentioned in a previous blog. I feel that re-imagining buildings for new purposes is such a great way of keeping existing buildings but changing the context to ensure the building/s have relevance for the next 30 to 40 years. Within the historical centre of Tallinn is a great example of this... the Nuku Museum and theatre..the museum of puppets.

It is a contemporary intervention and works really well. There are items that I wouldn't do but that's just my view (also too much red!). Overall it has been designed for its patrons and users. There are lots of details that make you smile as well as others that reflect the users... young people.

This is a place to delight and feel happy to be absorbed into.. If I was 8 or 9.....
